Russian PM rules ministry to study grain export duty by Sep 10
MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the Agriculture Ministry to analyze the current situation on the grain market and develop suggestions to adjust the grain export duty by September 10, according to the ruling published on the government’s Web site on Monday.
Russia introduced a wheat export duty since July 1, which is measured as 50% of the price minus 5,500 rubles per tonne, but at least 50 rubles.
The ministry should fulfill the ruling together with the Economic Development Ministry, the Federal Customs Service, regional authorities and sectorial unions.
Medvedev has also ordered the Agriculture Ministry to analyze the situation on the milk and dairy products market by September 17 and present regulation suggestions, including a mechanism for price stabilization.
The Agriculture and the Economic Development ministries are now also to analyze the country’s agriculture equipment stock together with state leasing company Rosagroleasing and define suggestions aimed at securing provision of Russian farmers with equipment.
